Solvy Film 80

SOLVY FILM 80, stable water-soluble, foil 80µ -NON-EMBOSSED 

A water soluble film with many qualities!! 

The special SOLVY FILM 80 is firmly hooped into embroidery hoop thus serving as base for embroidering-no stabilizer, no fabric is needed, just the film. This makes it quick and easy to embroider patches that are fully embroidered or appliqued with fabric. You‘ll be surprised at how productive you are! Even traditional lace embroidery, hole motifs, openwork patterns can be uniquely produced. After embroidering, wash out the foil - done!

Usage tipps:

SOLVY FILM 80 - strong water-soluble foil

1. Patches and Emblems 

• Firmly hoop SOLVY FILM 80 without additional stabilizer. 
• Tear out the finished embroidery from the foil. 
• Dampen the embroidery edges with a damp cloth - and you’ll have neatly finished edges. 
• There’s no need to cut out the patch 

2. Cutwork Embroideries: 

• Firmly hoop SOLVY FILM 80 without additional stabilizer. 
• Embroider the design. Important: make sure all design segments are interlinked! 
• Dissolve SOLVY FILM 80 in the washing machine. 

Note: 

For fully embroidered patches and openwork patterns, the pattern must be digitized so that all parts of the pattern are connected. Otherwise, the pattern would fall apart after washing out SOLVY FILM 80. 

3. Remove: 

• The film dissolves faster in lukewarm water than in cold water. 
• Rinse individual pieces by hand while gently rubbing. 
• Larger quantities in the washing machine at approx. 30°C. 

4. Storage: 

• Protect against moisture and drying out. 
• Store in closed plastic bag.
