BSN Typ I heat-seal film for heat press

Appliqués the Easy Way

Ironing instead of sewing: the name says it all. The thermo foil BSN permanently bonds patches, badges and emblems - without sewing!
After embroidery, BSN is ironed onto the entire reverse side of the emblem. This makes every appliqué extremely durable, even edges and borders will not come off.

BSN is available in two versions: Use with an iron (type H) or with a heat press (type I).

Type I

  • suitable for washing up to 60°C;
  • chemical cleaning possible;
  • fixation also possible with an iron;

Main Applications:

  • Heat-seal film for appliqués, patches and emblems.
  • For permanent bonding of edges, borders and seams

Usage tipps:

Coating the emblem:

  • Place the emblem with the reverse side on the foil side of BSN and cut out the shape together with the silicone paper adding about 3 mm of extra length.
  • Typ I: Press with the heat press at 170° C for approx. 5 seconds.

Typ H: press with an iron (3 points) for approx. 5 sec.

  • Remove the silicone paper from the coated emblem. Then turn excess backwards.

Advantage: Better edge bonding.

Appliqués on garments:

  • Iron the base material before use. Fabric finishes evaporate and a permanent fixation is achieved!
  • Place the coated emblem on the desired spot and press it on permanently:

- Type I: Press on with the heat press (medium pressure) at 170° C for approx. 15 seconds.

- Type H: iron (3 points) thoroughly with an iron for approx. 20-25 seconds.

Repeat the ironing process on the back of fabric

Note:

Your own test-runs are necessary for best bonding results to determine pressure, temperature and time. Full adhesiveness will be achieved after 48 hours!
