The quality of BAVARIA silk corresponds to the best Schappeseide silk. In order to obtain Schappeseide silk, it is necessary to obtain the threads spun by the silkworms. After the raw material has been removed, the first step is to remove the silk bast. The subsequent processing processes involve cleaning and combing the thread material. The Schappeseide spinning process is used to spin the combed yarn into yarn, which is then twisted and dyed. The result is a sewing silk that meets the highest requirements as a working material and, last but not least, as a seam. 

The manufacturer Kupfer offers the BAVARIA silk sewing thread exclusively in the form of BAVARIA silk No. 100/3. With this product, too, the name also stands for the thickness: Nm 100/3. The sewing silks should be processed with a needle size of 70. Customers have the option of ordering 1,000 m or 5,000 m. The desired color for the sewing thread made of real silk is available on request. For example, BAVARIA silk is well suited for elastic seams and closing seams.
